Celebrate Dance in Toronto 2021 Update

Hi Everyone,

Tina and I want to let you know that both the Canadian Line Dance Classic (March) and Celebrate Dance (June) will, unfortunately, NOT take place in 2021.

We’re both saddened by this news but don’t think either Canada or the US will be ready for people to gather for large events and, there’s always the possibility that the borders will still be closed.  We understand everyone would like things to go back to the way they were but, unfortunately, we don’t think that will be in time for our events to run this year.

We’re checking with our hotels and staff and hope to secure them for 2022 and will let you all know once everything is firmed up. 

Tina and I are both doing well and we hope you are too!  We look forward to seeing everyone again once this pandemic is over.  I’m sure there’ll be lots to catch up on!  Please take care of yourself, your family, your friends and, most of all…stay safe!

Celebrate Dance in Toronto 2020 Update

Hello Everyone,

Sadly, although not a surprise, we have to cancel Celebrate Dance in Toronto (CDiT) this year.  For those of you who had already registered, if you paid by PayPal we will refund your payment through PayPal.  If you paid by cheque, we will mail a cheque back to you in whichever currency you paid us in.

If you’ve already booked your hotel room, you can call 1-866-932-7058 to cancel your reservation.

We are waiting for the hotel to confirm our dates for next year and will make an announcement as soon as they get back to us.  We’re also confirming our staff and will post more information once we have everything sorted out.

Tina and I had to cancel the Canadian Line Dance Classic (CLDC) in March as well, and we know a good number of you attend both events.  Our plan is to provide you all with two spectacular, fun-filled events next year to make up for what we’re missing at the moment.  We’ll have Vanessa post details as soon as they become available. 

At this point, we also want to say  “THANK YOU Vanessa” for managing our online presence and keeping everyone informed about both of our events.

To all of you reading this, we thank you for your continued support and look forward to when we can get together again.  Stay safe….

Staff Lineup Update

Tina and I (Judy) have had to make an unexpected change to our line-up for Celebrate Dance. Please see Rob Fowler’s message below:

“Hi all…Really sorry, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I cannot attend Celebrate Dance in June. I would like to thank Judy and Tina for inviting me. Really sorry I can’t be there but I know you will all have an amazing time! All the best. Rob Fowler.”

So, we’re happy to let you know that Scott Blevins will be joining us!

Scott, along with Debbie Rushton, John Robinson, Gerard Murphy, Rona Kaye, Tina Foster and I (Judy McDonald) will be teaching all the latest and greatest line dances and making sure you all have a fabulous time!

We look forward to seeing everyone on June 20th – 23rd for what promises to be an amazing weekend of dancing with our great staff lineup of Maggie Gallagher, Darren Bailey, Amy Glass, John Robinson, Rhoda Lai, Jill Babinec, Tina Foster, Judy McDonald – and announcing that Derek Steele has also joined the lineup!! Plus with our very talented DJs Jill Babinec and Lynn Warden – you won’t want to leave the dance floor!!

Celebrate Dance! in Toronto is almost here, happening in just one short month from now on June 20-23, 2019.  We are so excited for what is sure to be an amazing weekend of dancing.  And with our great (international!) staff lineup of Maggie Gallagher, Darren Bailey, Amy Glass, John Robinson, Rhoda Lai, Jill Babinec, Tina Foster, and Judy McDonald, PLUS our very talented DJs Jill Babinec and Lynn Warden – you’ll be learning & dancing all weekend long!!

And we are pleased to announce our theme for the Saturday night open dance: Countries of the World!  We want you to show off where you are from, whether that be wearing your countries colours, symbols, or any other creative way you can think of to celebrate your country pride!
